¡@ ¡@ Billfish tagging program off eastern Taiwan waters
Billfish are one of the most prized fishes in the eastern Taiwan waters. They are targeted by commercial fisheries (harpoon or tuna longline by catch) and tremendous importance to local economics. We deployed the pop-up archival transmitting tags on billfish. The tags provide the movement of fish and also collect data on the ambient water temperature and depth, which can be describe the habitat preference, movement patterns and stock structure of billfish off eastern Taiwan waters.

¡@ ¡@ Investigation on the stock of dolphinfish in the waters off eastern Taiwan
The length data of dolphinfish were collected monthly from Shingkang fish market. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters, age composition and mortality for female and male dolphinfish were estimated by MULTIFAN. The per-recruit model is used to analysis the population status suggesting dolphinfish in the waters off eastern Taiwan are not over-exploited. However, in view of the recent rapid increase in fishing effort, it is evident that the stock condition and developments in the fishery still need to be monitor.

¡@ ¡@ Investigation the propagation and culture of ornamental fishes of reef
Establishing propagation technique of seawater ornamental fish and offering relative technology for operator as other seawater species propagation reference . In viewing of long term overfishing and breaking in coral reefs of Southeast Asia maritime space, the United Nations World Bank had ever dispatched an official to Taiwan understand artificial reproduction successful experience of seawater fish for save this maritime space ecological crisis, also, as supply relative data to suggest not to bombing and poisoning fishing coral reefs fish any more. The success propagation technique in Taiwan would be a model for proliferation coral reefs fish to ensure marine biology source grow continually.

¡@ ¡@ Studies on rearing high quality parents abalone
To compare ovary mature degree and quality of zygote by feeding four kinds of different feeds in parent abalone. To understand the differences in the abundance and diversity of intestinal bacteria in different seasons betweentraditional and interior circulating system. Establishing raise parent abalone by recycle water system method, and breeding ten thousands pieces of parent abalone. To execute artificial reproductions of abalone above 10 times a year and to supply zygote and larvae for research purpose requirement.
