In recent years, the coastal environmental pollution, over-capture and changed ecosystem have resulted in the habitat destruction and declined resource of mud shrimp (Austinogebia edulis). Therefore, those related associate expected to restoration the mud shrimp resource by means of artificial production and larva releasing on the mud shrimp conservation area. The fertilized eggs of mud shrimp are incubated by the female, and March to April were its breeding period, so we thought that was the appropriate time to execute the larva releasing work. The color of fertilized eggs of mud shrimp will transform from grass green into yellow, then into light brown and transparent when the embryo development. On the simulated habitat test, that showed the larva which had hatched more than 3 days would sink and burrow at the sand bottom, therefore we thought that was the suitable stage for larva releasing. This year we executed the larva released work at the mud shrimp conservation area of Wang-gong, in addition at that moment of releasing larva we used a protection frame to avoid the damage of dry situation from low tide.
