The subsurface fish aggregating devices (FADs) will be used to create new fishinggrounds in the coastal waters of eastern Taiwan. We plan to estimate and search thesuitable areas for deploying FADs in the coastal waters of Ludao Island. Then, three setsof subsurface FADs will be deployed. Pelagic fish, dolphin fish, yellowfin tuna andskipjack tuna, will aggregate around the subsurface FADs after the deployment.Fishermen can get benefits from the increasing catch.
