This project applies ICT technology that combines smart tags, smart phones, wireless internet access, and a website with digitized contents to activate our fisheries exhibition with the introduction of mobile learning. The main tasks include to set up a service platform so that visitors can use their smart phones to get more information via smart tags and Wi-Fi access on the digitized objects. In addition, a system of augmented reality is installed to provide interaction with visitors. The project is not only to display the fisheries research results, but also provides a function of social education
This year, the project is to build a smart and diverse service platform of fisheries information for the fisheries exhibition of Fisheries Research Institute in Keelung. The fisheries exhibition includes freshwater and saltwater aquariums on the first floor of main building and the second to fifth floor of the west building. The service platform contains a wireless network system that has a GSN FTTB broadband with speed of 4M and 16 WiFi AP’s hardware and 100 30-second short videos and their QR code tags. The system of augmented reality contains a background-eliminated software and six 3D virtual reality objects.
