The study conducted 5 onboard surveys on the offshore waters of Changhua Wanggong in February 28, April 2, May 15, June 5 and October 24, 2007. We completed 6 sets of seaweed and oyster breeding facilities, 4 seasons of marine environment and fish diversity surveys, and 1 time of diving survey in this year. The growthing results of Sargassum hemiphyllum var. chinense showed that it has the characteristics of growing across the years, and the growth period is as long as 9 months, but is not suitable for underwater breeding. The main growth season of oysters in the Changhua Wanggong intertidal zone is from late winter to early summer, and is slow in the other periods. The results of the offshore oyster growth survey show that the mortality rate is quite low and there is a significant increase. In the fish diversity survey, there was no catch in the first and third seasons, and the gill net was destroyed by the fishermen's trawling operation in second season. In the fourth season, only one Parapenaeopsis hardwickii was captured. It is difficult to record the fish diversity by diving or remotely operated vehicle in our study area, due to the high turbidity and low visibility. Marine environmental surveys included concentrations of phosphate, citrate, nitrate, ammonia and chlorophyll a, and the results are shown in this report.
