Using rhizome method to transplant seagrass beds could enlarge the area by 2-3 times of their original areas. It’s benefit to the dispersal of seagrass population. The original seagrass beds recovered well after being removed at transplanting. After transplanting to new place about 2 months, the length of the seagrass roots grew by 3 times from 10cm to 40-45cm, and the number of individuals increased by 4.24-8.25 times form 4 to 21-37. Moreover, the area of seagrass beds increased by 0.7 times from 10m2 to 17m2 after transplanting about 5 months.
