本研習二重點，其一與日本正櫻蝦資源解析專家建立交流與合作關係，其二瞭解日 本箱網養殖之實態，搜集箱網養殖經營成效與水產研究進程資料，提供我國產官學 界參考。本研習內容包括日本中央水產總合研究中心之日本經濟性水產養殖之經營 現況與評估，東京水產振興會之日本青甘鰺箱網養殖情形，日本國際水產暨技術展 ，靜岡水產研究所之櫻蝦資源評估，日本東海大學之陸上鮪魚養殖設施，日本箱網 養殖課題，MIS會社之鮪用箱網投餌機與造粒機，鹿兒島喜入漁協之黑鮪箱網養殖 ，鹿兒島垂水漁協之紅甘鰺之箱網養殖等項目。日本之櫻蝦冷凍保鮮與品質維持的 方法，箱網養殖之使用金屬網材，加入漁業保險制度，大量地投餌機與造粒機節省 人力負擔，以及研究技術結合產業發展創立利潤之方法，讓人印象深刻，也值得臺 灣產官學界參考與借鏡，創造與發揮臺灣自有的優勢。

     The waters surrounding Taiwan are rich in juvenile yellowfin tuna resources; however, the fishing of juvenile yellowfin tuna is extremely uneconomical to fishermen. In addition, the commercialized farming of tuna has not been developed, and the operating costs and risks relating to the growth and perturbation of bait efficiency in intensive tuna farming have not been accurately estimated by tuna farmers. We will study of the management cage aquaculture of tuna in Japan.
