The red bigeye ( Priacanthus macracanthus ) is commercial fishery targeted demersal species which lives in the surrounding waters of Taiwan, with depth rager of 20 to 400 m. Age and growth of the red bigeye which caught by longline fishery off northern Taiwan waters. From Jan. to Jul. 2017, totally 1784 red bigeye were caught per month sampling, and the fork length (FL, 6.9 ~ 31.4 cm) and body weight (BW, 5.0 ~ 514.7 g) were measured. The relationship formula of Mesopterygoid and folk length was MRs = 0.0826 × FL^0.826(r^2= 0.845,n = 724). The von Bertalanffy growth curve parameters obtained: L ∞= 323.7 mm,k = 0.294/yr,t0 = - 0.699.
