The objectives of this study are to collect large shark fishing data of longline tuna fishery, survey catch species composition and distribution, analyze catch variations and population dynamics of major shark species based on the auction data from fishing market, and carry out large sharks resource assessment and investigation around waters of Taiwan, to estimate resource status and sustainable use in the future. A spawning per recruit model was constructed to assess stock status of the pelagic thresher shark in this year.
