This research aims at the swordtip squid (Uroteuthis edulis) for the establishment of resource fluctuation trend forecasting model, resource temporal and spatial distribution forecasting model, and the establishment of an automated fishing vessel operation information collection system. The purpose is to predict resource changes during the fishing period. The trend is used as a reference for resource management, and the forecast data of sea conditions for the squidresources is provided for the reference of fishing vessels operations. The automated fishing vessel operation information collection system aims to simplify the process of record of fishing logbooks for fishing vessels to increase their willingness to provide data. The results of this research are as follows: (1) From 2017 to the present 5 years of model forecasting, 4 years of successful forecasting of resource trends, with an accuracy rate of 80 %. (2) It is predicted that the trend of the swordtip squid resources in 2022 will be declining. (3) The catch of the sampling vessels that accepts the sea water temperature data provided by this research is higher than that of the sampling vessels that have not received the sea water temperature data. The provision of sea water temperature data should help its catch. (4) The data collected by the fishing vessel operation information collection system can be used to record the number of nets, and the CPUE from kilograms/day per ship to kilograms/10,000 watt-hours will help define the CPUE more precisely.
