Whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is currently the most cultured shrimp species in Taiwan. Poor breeding management factors include high breeding density, reduced dissolved oxygen, rapid changes in water temperature and pH, or changes in algae phase and death.Shrimp experience resistance to sudden changes in the external environment, causing internal dysfunction, reducing the ability to defend against external pathogens, and eventually causing serious death. The issue of how to improve organisms against external pathogens has received attention. Therefore, this study will use high temperature and high pressure extraction of Sarcodia montagnean and Eucheuma serra as feed additives to develop functional feeds to effectively improve the immune regulation ability of whiteleg shrimp, and reduce the factors causing death such as pathogens.
