The use of dietary feeding attractants has been to improve dietary food intake, and atthe same time by promoting quicker food intake, minimizing the time the feed remainsin water and thereby the leaching of water soluble nutrients, and at the same timeproviding additional nutrients for protein and energy metabolism. It follows thereforethat if fish feed are ingested with minimum wastage and feed efficiency thereforemaximized, that feed wastage pollution will be minimized. The present study wasdesigned to determine the dietary requirement of grouper for betaine and taurine with agoal to estimate the importance of feed attractants.
