台灣周邊海域新漁場造成之研究

本計畫成功開發完成耐久型人工浮魚礁後,由於誘集鰹鮪魚群之效果顯著,為沿近海小型漁船開創了良好的作業環境,故有意參與浮魚礁作業的漁民日增。因此,本計畫今年度除了擬持續開創西南海域的作業漁場外,也計劃在苗栗海域尋找適合設置中層人工浮魚礁的地點,設置耐久型及簡易型中層人工浮魚礁,提供沿近海漁民良好的作業漁場。此外,為了滿足漁民擴大投放的需求,本計劃擬著手改進低成本之中層人工浮魚礁,以方便技術移轉,達到由各管理委員會自行投放之目標。

The life expectancy of subsurface FAD (fish aggregating device) has been successfullyincreased in this program. The efficacy of long-life FAD was very significant foraggregating the yellowfin and skipjack tunas. Therefore, many new fishing grounds hasbeen created for offshore fisheries by deploying the FADs. The fishermen are more andmore interested in using the FADs, recently. In this year, the work of deploying FADs inthe coastal water of southwestern Taiwan will be continued, and the suitable locations ofsetting FADs in the coastal water of Miaoli County will be estimated, we plan to deploythree sets of FADs in the coastal waters of Taiwan totally. Beside, for the purpose oftransferring technique, the low cost subsurface FADs will be improved to help thefishermen societies to design and deploy their FADs in the future.
