本研究旨在利用藥物敏感試驗，檢測磺胺劑在生物體外對於水產常見病原菌之抗菌活性；由美國國家臨床檢驗室標準委員會（NCCLS）與英國微生物治療協會（BSAC）提出之方法，分別建立藥物對供試菌之最小抑菌濃度、抑制環大小及其間相關迴歸線與可容許誤差值之設定，再由最小抑菌濃度之分界點，估測得到藥物抗菌活性分類之界限值。另外，為瞭解磺胺劑在生物體內的抗菌效果與適當的投藥方法，亦進行細菌攻擊試驗評估之。

The in vitro activity of sulfonamides was assessed by determination of minimuminhibitory concentration and zone diameter breakpoints using the methodology andcriteria recommended by the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards(NCCLS) and British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC).
