為建立台灣周邊海域漁場環境之長期水文資料，整合漁業資源變動資訊，健全漁海況短期速報及長期預報模式之目標乃實施本計劃。本計劃選定台灣周邊60個測站，執行CTD投放及分層採水等作業，獲取水溫、鹽度、密度、營養鹽類、動植物性浮游生物及氣象等基礎資料。預定第一年按季實施四航次，並視作業能力逐年增加航次，期能完成長期資料庫系統之建立，提供各界參考。

This plan is executed for creating long term fisheries environmental hydrographicdatabase and numerical models of fisheries prediction combined with variations offishing resources. Database ,included sea temperature,salinity,density,nutrientcontents,phyto-plankton,zoo-plankton and meteorologics, are collected by means ofCTD casting and water columns sampling in the selected 60 stations of coastal watersaround Taiwan. Four cruises are conducted seasonally in the first annual and morecruises are considered in the future.
