本計畫擬針對臺灣常見魚病細菌基因體序列，利用分子生物學方法，開發出一套簡易，快速且靈敏性極高之細菌性魚病診斷套組。其最大優點為不需分離培養細菌，可大幅縮短診斷時間至三至六小時以內，而且使用簡便，操作者不需接受繁瑣的微生物訓練即可正確使用，將可協助第一線魚病防治人員在池魚發病初期的黃金時間內，根據本套組的鑑定結果，擬定最適當的防治措施。不但可減少水產養殖業者因魚病招致之損失，更可大幅減少魚病藥物之濫用誤用，期使養殖業能成為一與環境友善共存之永續產業。

The purpose of this project is developing a simple, fast and sensitive kit for the diagnosisof fish bacterial diseases. The anticipative advantages of this kit are easy using, timesaving (3 to 6 hours) and the isolation of bacteria in sample is not necessary. Wesuggested the kit could be used by the first line technicians to prevent fish disordersduring the initial stage, to keep away from the abuse or misuse of medicines and to assistaquaculture to be a sustabinable environment-friendly industry.-
