Penghu archipelagoes possess long seashore lines, rich marine fauna and flora. Previousstudies on the marine biodiversity in Penghu mostly focused on the species lists.Information about the other important parameters of biodiversity such as abundancesand distributions was few. The aim of this project is to intergrated those withGeographic Information System (GIS) to provide useful references for reservations andfurther sustainable utilization in Penghu.Richness, abundance and distribution data of Scleractinian corals, Crustacea, and macroalgae in northern and eastern sea of Penghu are scheduled to be obtained this year.Biodiversity and GIS information for them are expected to produced.-
