The objective of the project is to establish the SPF broodstock of Litopenaeus vannameiand to help private farmers to follow the techniques to breed high health SPF larvae andto rear SPF shrimp under SPF environment.The prospective outcome of this project are as follows: (1) Five thousand pairs of SFPbroodstock will be produced and sold to private hatchery to mass produce SPF larvae.(2) Zero exchange shrimp lavrae rearing techniques using probiotics will be established.(3) Economic viable SPF shrimp rearing technology will be deveolped to prevent thepathogen from invading culture ponds. (4) Value-added strains of L. vannamei with highresistence, growth and fecudity will be produced.
