The objective of the project is to establish the SPF broodstock of Litopenaeus vannameiand to help private farmers to follow the techniques to breed high health SPF larvae andto rear SPF shrimp under SPF environment. The prospective outcome of this project areas follows: (1) Five thousand pairs of SFP broodstock will be produced and sold to privatehatchery to mass produce SPF larvae. (2) Zero exchange shrimp lavrae rearingtechniques using probiotics will be established. (3) Economic viable SPF shrimp rearingtechnology will be deveolped to prevent the pathogen from invading culture ponds. (4)Value-added strains of L. vannamei with high resistence, growth and fecudity will beproduced.
