鬼頭刀（Coryphaena hippurus），廣泛分布在熱帶及亞熱帶海域，為高度洄游性魚類之一種，亦為臺灣重要之經濟魚類。本計畫利用歷年研究結果進一步推估單位加入生產量(Yield-per-recruit)，以及推估單位加入產卵親魚量(Spawning-stockbiomassper-recruit, SSB/R)，進一步推估生殖潛能比例(Spawning potential ratio,SPR)，以瞭解目前鬼頭刀資源之開發利用現況。同時利用所得研究成果推估最適漁獲死亡率或開始漁獲年齡，以提供漁業管理之參考科學依據。

The dolphinfish, Coryphaena hippurus, is a pelagic and migratory fish, distributedthroughout tropical and subtropical waters, an economically important fish in Taiwan.The project will utilize the results of previous studies to conduct yield-per-recruit andspawning-stock-biomass per-recruit analysis. Spawning potential ratio willalso be estimated to understand the present fishery status for dolphinfish in the easternwaters of Taiwan. Based on the above analysis, the moderate fishing mortality and age atfisrt capture would be determined to provide a reference for fishery management.
