Five sets of subsurface fish aggregating devices had been deployed in the coastal watersof Tai-Duang County in this program, having already become the good fishing groundof the fisherman after deploying. In 2005, the total catch gets more increasing 26% thanlast year above, the production value of year amounted to more than 40 million NTdollars. Among the cathc, the yellowfin tuna has 84% of the total catch, is the mainlycaught species.In this year, we will estimate and plan the suitable areas for deployingsubsurface FAD in the coastal water of Lanyu, and 2 sets of subsurface FADs will bedeployed to increate good fishing ground for fishermen.
