本計畫係在傳統虱目魚塭建造循環水養殖設施,完成自動化養殖系統,並從事種蝦及魚貝類培育。它除了可以大量培育優質魚蝦貝類,提高虱目魚塭的經濟效益以外,藉由人工溼地的開發,也符合現代化漁業必須兼顧生產、生活與生態「三生」的目標。

The experiment is to build a set of water-circulating facilities from traditional milkfishponds, and let it become a feasible automatic system for cultivating fish, shell, andshrimp brood stock. It is expected that the experiment will be a pragmatic model notonly for enhancing fishery's economic profit but also for modernizing traditional milkfishfarming to be a responsible fishery administration which maximizes the qualities of life,the production of fishery, and the preservation of environment.
