海鱺對維生素B1之需求試驗進行12週飼育試驗所得結果，未添加維生素B1組其增重百分率為407.78％成長顯著低於添加組。但未見體表有任何缺乏症狀發生。其他6組進行12週飼育試驗，增重百分率在413-505％之間，經分析以添加8ppm維生素B1組成長較佳。飼料轉換率（FCR）各處理組之間並無顯著差異。肝體比各添加組間無顯著差異。而肥滿度顯示添加較高量的維生素B1時較高。

The cobia fed diets supplementing 8 and 16 ppm vitamin B1 had the better weight gain, and when cobia fed diet without vitamin B1 the weight gain was less than other treatment group(Initial average body weight, 22g.), but not any deficiency symptom had find in cobia during the experiment period. There were no significant difference in hepatosomatic index. The condition factor were high for cobia when fed diets containing higher vitamin B1 The test of interaction of vitamin B1 and carbohydrate was not significant different (Initial average body weight, 31g)
