我國的底延繩釣漁業，主要是由小型漁船或動力舢舨在沿岸海域的岩礁區進行作業，且多未經過產地魚市場拍賣，而是直接供應海鮮餐飲業讓消費者利用，因此整體產量和產值一向不能確定。其次，由於單價甚高，相關的漁業生物學和資源學的研究也甚為缺乏。然而，近年海鮮消費文化興盛，已對該資源形成很大的壓力。因此，實有必要針對此項漁業的利用狀態、魚種組成、漁獲量和單位努力漁獲量進行研究，以作為未來資源評估和管理的依據。經分析近10年來的漁業年報資料後發現，台灣北部沿岸海域的底延繩釣漁業產量有明顯的年變動存在，此變動可能與優勢魚種間的種類交替有關。

To clarify the species composition and current resources condition of long-line fisheries of Taiwan for maintaining and managing of them, this study is conducted by statistic analysis of Taiwan Fishery Yearbook and survey of fish market. The results indicated that there were distinct yearly fluctuation and this fluctuation might result from the natural regim of the fishes.
