1.Establish artificial propagation techniques for Zebrasoma flavescens, transferring to the fishery as a reference for rear other species.
2.Establish the techniques on rearing parent Zebrasoma flavescens to achieve the goal of natural mating and spawning and rearing parent Zebrasoma flavescens for more than 100 individuals.
3.Establish the techniques for larval rearing of Zebrasoma flavescens and understand the requirement of feedings, water quality and microalgae as a reference for massive larval rearing.
4.This study investigated the efficacy of induced spawning in Yellow tang Zebrasoma flavescens by injection of HCG and LHRH-a. Injected dosages of 1000 IU and 50 μg were, ovulation occurred about 36 h after injection. The eggs of Yellow tang amyo buoyant and semi-transparent. The egg diameter range from 0.70 ± 0.06 mm . The eggs contain a single oil globule having a diameter of 0.17 ± 0.01 mm. Incubation period was approximately 42 h at the water temperature of 22.9 - 24.6 ℃ and salinities at 32 psu. The newly hatched larva was 2.17 ± 0.36 mm in length.
