More than 18 species of fresh-water fishes were conserved at the facilities of National Germplasm Bank of Aquatic Organism, located at FARC, and fast-growing all-male tilapia fry were mass-produced for farmers to culture. Besides, fry of paradise fish (Macropodus opercularis) and freshwater grouper (Cichlasoma managuense), etc., were bred for the regeneration of germplasm.
At NAGC, the stock pools were improved further to fit the needs of conserved aquatic lives, and mechanical facilities were maintained to keep on normal management. On the other hand, seed production technologies were established, and digital data were implemented to serve more convenient information on the germplasm..
