"The basic research of biological diversity" and "establish National Biodiversity databank" is the important working project for the Council of Agriculture and the National Council for Sustainable Development. As a result, Fisheries Research Institute implemented「Analysis the genetic diversity of important oyster along the coast of Taiwan」program in 2008 to survey the genetic and species diversity of oyster in Taiwan. Using molecular technology in oyster related researches are many years and very successful. Our plan prepare for learning the molecular technology for species identification, population structure, and selective breeding.
