The development of the high-intensive culture system in the aquatic animals has been accompanied by the occurrence of disease outbreaks. Emergence of disease in aquaculture industries implies serious financial lose. The use of antibiotics and chemicals for disease control produces detrimental side effects such as toxicity, resistance, residual impacts on public health and environmental hazard. The natural extracts from crude drugs used in human therapy are very popular all over the world. An attempt to develop a series of extracts from crude drug used on the aquatic animals for the disease control and prevention based on the
therapeutic efficiency and low hazard from the natural sources to environment and organisms. The potent crude drug is screened against pathogens of the aquatic animals by agar well diffusion method, and then prepared becoming the diets containing natural extracts for the feeding experiment in vivo. During and after feeding, the aquatic animals will be sampled at different intervals for the analysis of activity or for the challenge experiment using pathogens of aquatic animals. The therapeutic effect of the crude drug will be established for development thetreatments of crude drugs for diseases control and prevention of aquatic animals.
