1.The theme of this research is to plan and develop the seahorse culture system. We will make the experiment on the cultivation of live foods andthe seahorse. Based on the culture environment right now in Taiwan, we will estimate the production of the seahorse during the culture period, the relationship between the product and the farmer size and the benefit of the seahorse culture. We hope that the quantity of the seahorse seed can amount 1,000. Thus we can provide the sources for the sea horse culture. 2.Manage breeding adult shrimp, and larvae reproduce. Primary will cultivate 50 pair’s adult shrimp, then breeding 1000 luminal shrimp, for mass-production of shrimp in the future. 3.In this study, we focus on high economic value and not easy breeding freshwater ornamental fish species to establish artificial propagation techniques to increase the market competitiveness and avoid the overcatch of wild populations. During the year, continued to investigate the propagation and culture of freshwater stingray related technologies. By collecting information in regard to freshwater stingrays feeding, growth , breeding and other information as a basic data and we also conduct artificial propagation of freshwater stingray breeding test between the same strain and different strains to establish a more appropriate artificial propagation methods of freshwater stingrays to provide the ornamental fish industry as a reference. 4.Establish artificial propagation techniques for Damselfish and aracanthurus hepatus, transferring to the fishery as a reference for rear other species. 5.Establish the techniques on rearing parent Damselfish and Paracanthurus epatus to achieve the goal of natural mating and spawning and rearing arent Damselfish and Paracanthurus hepatus for more than 100 ndividuals. 6.Establish the techniques for larval rearing of Damselfish and aracanthurus hepatus and understand the requirement of feedings, water quality and microalgae as a reference for massive larval rearing. 7.In this study, we will obtain more than 30 cases from ornamental fish farm in Taiwan, 2011. Gross external and internal lesions will be recorded. Samples will be identified using light microscope examination, microbiological examination and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). In addition, the Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) technique will be established to act as a fast and accurate diagnostic method for monitoring Mycobacterium sp. infection in ornamental fish. 8.Just only few studies reported on transportation about freshwater ornamental fish and other vertebrates and invertebrates, especially the ornamental fish were produced by local industry and just like the SouthAmerica and Africa cichlid, small catfish, freshwater stingray and varied species ornamental shrimp. This study will test the effect of different packing method, the ratio of oxygen and water volume, and several kinds of anesthetics to transport the cichlid, catfish, freshwater stingray and other invertebrates, and application the substrates to control water under long-distance transport conditions. These studies are urgently necessary in the control of the ornamental fish export and export, air transport and trade with valuable ornamental fish, respective.
