本研究嘗試建立劍尖槍鎖管(Uroteuthis edulis)之標準體重(Ws)方程式，並用以計算個體相對重量(Wr)指數，分析其變化。結果顯示雌雄個體之體重體長關係式具有顯著差異。計算雌、雄個體之標準體重方程式分別為：雄性 log10Ws = -2.7641 + 2.2056 (log10ML)；雌性 log10Ws = -2.9959 + 2.3309(log10ML) ，其中 Ws 為標準體重(以公克為單位)，ML為外套膜長(以公厘為單位)。結果顯示，劍尖槍鎖管Wr值會隨著年別與季別而有所不同，顯示可作為個體營養或成長狀況評估之指標，並反映環境之變化。

This research attempted to establish standard weight (Ws) equations of the swordtip squid, Uroteuthis edulis, and used to calculate and analyze the changes of individual Wr. The results showed that there have significant differences between the weight - length relationship in both sex. The standard weight equation: the male log10Ws = -2.7641 + 2.2056 (log10ML); the female log10Ws = -2.9959 + 2.3309 (log10ML), where Ws was the standard weight (in grams units), ML was mantle length (in millimeters). This study showed that the swordtip squid's Wr fluctuate with year and season. Wr would be used as an indicator of the state of individuals and reflected the changes in the environment.
