The objectives of this project are to monitor the status of demersal fish
resources in the northeastern waters off Taiwan, and provide a reasonable
fishery management for sustainable utilization of fishery resources. The
previous studies indicated that the present fish community in the
northern waters off Taiwan was disturbed severely in 2008 to 2009 using
abundance biomass comparison curve method. Mesh selectivity analysis
indicated that the mesh size of cod end expanding to 75 mm may afford
more than one chance to spawn for seven species such as lizard fish and
so on. This year we will focuse on the distribution, seasonal variation,
catch per unit effort, and length frequency analysis of Sergia shrimp.
