The purpose of this study is to increase broodstock numbers of yellowfin
tuna and improve cultural condition of another broodstock pond to make
sure sufficient breeders for reproduction in the future. At present, the
numbers of yellowfin tuna breeder candidates are not enough. We need to
supplement fingerlings from the wild and are transferred to land-based
pond reared as broodstock. This fish will be reared in 200 m3 concrete
round pond until 5-10 kilograms of weight and moved to 1500 m3
recirculating broodstock pond. The recirculating system of 200 m3
concrete round pond will be installed to improve water quality of
cultural pond and tuna survival rate. Finally, we expect to achieve fullcycle
culture of yellowfin tuna and be applied to other pelagic marine
fish.
