深層海水培育種鰻之研究

日本鰻為台灣重要經濟養殖魚種,養殖所需鰻苗多賴天然捕獲。近年來因環境變遷
、海洋汙染及過漁現象,致使鰻苗捕獲量逐年下降;相關產業欠缺穩定發展所需的
鰻苗數量,故須建立鰻魚人工繁殖技術。前人研究發現種鰻在大洋深水區產卵孵化
,然捕捉的野生種鰻生殖腺發育皆處於早期發育階段。本研究擬探討以水深4公尺養
殖環境蓄養日本鰻種鰻並以HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin)及SPE(salmon
pituitary extracts)注射,促進性腺成熟,以期能獲得較優質的鰻魚受精卵。

The Japanese eel(Anguilla japonica) is one of the most important species
of aquaculture industry in Taiwanand the glass eels are completely at
present caught from wild. Due to environmental changes, marine pollution
and overfishing phenomenon, whole-year catches of glass eel in recent
years are declining. Correlated industries are deficient in a large
number of glass eel, so the development of cultivation and artificial
propagation techniques are in urgent need. Former studies indicated that
eels fertilize in deep ocean, however wild eels caught in their
prepubertal stage.The objective were to cultivate Japanese eels in a 4-
meter-depth tank, and artificially induce sexual maturity of the eels
u s i n g h u m a n c h o r i o n i c g o n a d o t r o p i n ( H C G ) a n d s a l m o n p i t u i t a r y
extracts(SPE). With such conditions we can discover how to get eel
fertilized oocytes.With such conditions we can discover how to get eel
