1. The number of Lysmata boggessilarvae of each hatch varies of from118 to 603. The eggs were hatched at 8 days after spawning under 29.8℃ and at 19 days under 24.0℃. Being larva metamorphosis to postlarva at 26dph (days post hatching), mature and spawning egg at123dph.
2. The results showed these adhesive demersal eggs are white to yellow and ellipsoidal, and were about 1.19 ± 0.03 mm (Mean ± SD) in total length and 0.60 ± 0.01 mm in width. The yolks were about 0.61± 0.05 mm long and contained several oil droplets with diameters ranging from 0.02 to 0.18 mm and the newly hatched larvae were about 2.80 ± 0.20 mm in length. Parental care behaviors for the ovum occurred after spawning to hatching. It indicates that parental behavior is mainly carried out by males. Incubation period was approximately 102 h at the water temperature of 25 ± 1℃.The biological feedings for Chrysiptera hemicyanea at initial larvae stage was ciliate, rotifer and copepod. Microalgae was added to stabilize water quality and to nourish rotifers. The supply of feedings should be applied at the same time.
