In order to collect the relevant information onimportant aquatic germplasm in Taiwan, and provide the basic data needed for the research and application of genetic technologies related to aquatic products. This project analyzes the conservation processes of the aquatic germplasm species , combines information technology, information system analysis and tables definition, integrates the germplasm information , develops database programs, and establishes Information management platform. On the one hand, to satisfy the needs of the management of the aquatic germplasm, provides an important database for the development of genetic research and application development of aquatic germplasm, and sets up a website for the public to understand the achievements of aquatic species breeding research. And the current situation of development, in order to benefit the society to understand the value and significance of the germplasm conservation. And establish a pipeline for the supply and sale of excellent seedlings in the germplasml bank, to meet the development and utilization of the domestic aquaculture industry, and to provide relevant domestic and foreign researchers to inquire about the existing preserved aquatic germplasm tools, in order to facilitate the exchange and utilization of the aquatic germplasm, to improve utilization efficiency. The design and establishment of the database, integration of ecological data, economic data, importance characters data and genetic data of aquatic species, and the continuous collection of research results published about the aquatic germplasm, and the exchange of information. It can also monitor the original genetic diversity of aquatic germplasm and reduce the risk of genetic deterioration. At present, the database has collected the information of 62 kinds aquatic germplasm species, including 50 species of fish ( fresh water and seawater), 6 species of crustaceans, 1 species of mollusks, 4 species of algae, and 1 species of Aschelminthes (rotifers). The content includes more than 47,000 related data on aquaculture, growth records, mediums and research results of aquatic species, and establishes whole child's genetic data of Tilapia's gender-related microsatellite locus LG3-GM354 (39 ), LG23-UNH898 ( 157), LG3-UNH168 (32 ) , octopus and ornamental shrimp about 667 and sort out about 150 species of taxa markers related toaquatic germplasmin NBCI database.
