性激素埋植技術運用於日本鰻催熟之研究

今年度研究發現日本鰻可利用埋植雄性素藥粒前處理來提高雌鰻生殖腺發育情形 ,後續搭配傳統腦下垂體注射催熟的方式確實可以使雌鰻達到完全成熟,其注射的 時間約需要4周,相較於傳統完全依靠注射催熟的時間8至12周為少,也可以減少頻 繁注射催熟的保定侵擾;而雄鰻則可以透過埋植雄性素藥粒催熟方式,在4-6周的時 間內完全成熟,採集到精液,並可維持2周的時間,精子活性也可在海水中達到30分 鐘以上。

In this study, We use androgen pellets implantation pre-treatment to improve the gonad development of Japanese eel brookstock, and follow up with traditional hypophysation-induced artificial maturation. This combine can make the brookstock to final maturation. The time using this combine method to reach final maturation (4 weeks) is less than only using the traditional hypophysation-induced artificial maturation(8-12 weeks).The less handling can decrease the intrusion of the routine injection. And we also found the male eel can spermiation with short time (4-6 week) by using androgen pellets implantation. The spermiation can last two weeks, and the sperm can be active by seawater and survived 30 minutes.
