The seed production industry of grouper, white shrimp and oyster need support ofmicroalgae as live food for more successful larviculture. Isochrysis galbana is a DHA richmicroalgae, but is very sensitive to the culture conditions. Therefore, to develop a morecontrollable system for mass culture is needed to satisfy the stable provision of algalculture on time. This study aims to understand the effects of culture parameters, liketreatment of seawater source, construction and design of photobioreactor, light energy, fertilizers and climate, on the growth of I. galbana. From the growth characteristics, themanagement strategy and the cost of operation and production scale, a slight simple butconstant production system for Isochrysis would be established. This will step up thetechnique for high quality seed production, and then increase the competitiveadvantage.
