現階段國內農、林、牧及菌種原庫相繼建置完成，且相關資訊網站及資料庫運作已對外開放，提供社會使用。但水產生物種原庫之建立由於其種原及生態環境之特殊性及複雜性較為困難，迄今國內外均未見建置。而水產試驗所水產生物種原庫，在「鹿港淡水繁養殖研究中心種原庫」及「澎湖海洋生物研究中心種原庫」之籌建工程於94年年底完工啟用。急需對水產生物種原保存資訊之整合、管理及利用有所建置與規劃。以提供本土水產生物之經濟特性、遺傳資料給民間及學術界進行品種改良之基礎，同時也可提供給一般民眾暸解水產生物之種原保存之重要性，並做為國際交流之平台，並可提供台灣生物多樣性資料庫充實相關資料。本年度檢討已完成的資料庫，新增未來營運可能需要的資料庫表單，加強網站種原交流的功能，並將種原庫即時影像系統整合到「台灣水產生物種原資訊網」。另為了提高輸入資料的準確性，建立了可擴充養殖池的環境監測模組，未來養殖環境資料可藉由滙入的方式，減少錯誤，以利種原履歷的建立。並針對澎湖重要種原生物的相關資料進行蒐集與建立工作。

The germplasm banks of agriculture, forestry, livestock and bacterium have been established, the information networks and database are now available for the public in Taiwan. Nevertheless, the aquatic germplasm bank is not operated yet because of the complexity and specific characteristics of aquatic environment. The constructions of aquatic germplasm bank at Penghu and Lukung had been finished by the end of 2005. There are the demands for the information management and concerning utilities. The information network will provide the economic characteristics, genetic information of local aquatic species for the public and science research to improve the breeds, and act as a platform for international germplasm exchange.This year we checked the database made last year and increased the tables for germplasm bank in the future, improved the interaction function of germplasm website and incorporated the real time video into the website (Aquatic Germplasm Information Network In Taiwan). In addition, we established the extendable environmental monitoring module for aquaculture pools to enhance the import data accuracy. The aquaculture environmental data will be added into the database and errors will be efficiently prevented. Then, we begin to collect and import important germplasm species information in Penghu.
