澎湖青灣海域種原棲地生物多樣性復育研究

保護區的劃設已認為是保護珊瑚礁生態系免於棲地惡化、對抗未來氣候變遷的有效方式,但近年來研究指出,由於大部分的禁漁區/保護區缺乏有效的管理與執法的效率,再加上全球氣候變遷所導致大範圍及影響層次深遠的擾動,讓禁漁區/保護區的劃設不再是確保珊瑚礁生態系永續存在的萬靈丹。本計畫的研究地點-澎湖青灣內灣禁漁區也是一樣的情形,人工移植的珊瑚遭逢結螺的啃食、禁漁區缺乏有效的管理與執法、再加上新的珊瑚疾病亦日益嚴重,種種因素考量,青灣禁漁區內的珊瑚群聚生態系遭逢著極大的生存威脅。
本年度利用誘引物質聚集結螺的實驗設計並無法達成預期效果,可能原因是有效誘引物質的濃度過低;發光二極體誘引魚苗亦未見成效,可能的原因是設置的時間與澎湖海域魚苗補充的季節有出入;至於珊瑚有性生殖補充的部分,健全棲地珊瑚苗補充情形,不論是在密度以及物種的多樣性都比起劣化棲地的補充情形為佳,此一研究成果可當做未來棲地復育的參考。

The establishments of Marine Protected Area (MPA) and No-Take Area (NTA) are considered as effective ways to prevent degradations of coral reef systems and being resistant to the global changes. However, the improper managements and ineffective reinforcements made MPA/ NTA no guarantee for the sustained survival of coral reef systems. The target surveyed site of this project-Chinwan Inner Bay (CIB) is also the victim, which suffered from the grazing of Drupella snails, improper managements and the emerging coral disease. The above situation jeopardizes the existence of coral community in CIB.
The attractant manipulation experiment failed this year maybe due to insufficient concentration of inducing substances. The luring of fish fries by LED was also unsuccessful because of unmatched season of recruiting fish fries with the deployment of the light traps. The investigations of sexual coral recruits showed that the density of recruits and coral functional diversity were higher in the healthy coral community than the degraded one, which can provide valuable information to the conservation of the coral community.
