The goals of the project this year are (1) Selected brooders from F1 of the cross with TsR and cp, and then tagged by Radio Frequency identification tag (RFID)；(2) Rearing F2 fry produced by F1 and analyzing the genetic variation of families and within family on the molecular markers; (3) Rearing the small abalone of Tainan strain； (4) screening microsatellite DNA markers of small abalone; and (5) setting up the gene marker plasmid library of small abalone. We expect the aim of this project can assist the industry of tilapia and small abalone aquaculture in stock selection and breeding.
