本研究之目的為透過對鰹類仔稚魚在台灣沿近海域時空分布的調查和初期成長的解析，來作為漁業資源評估之參考。本研究擬先以3個年度分別針對東北部沿岸、東北部近海和西北部近海於6-8月間按月以海建號或水試一號試驗船用丸氏仔魚網進行表層採集來收集鰹類仔稚魚樣本，以了解其時空分布。再運用耳石日周輪分析技術，來比較它們在這些海域的生長情形。第4年再綜合以上的成果來探討鰹類仔稚魚的可能輸送機制，並嘗試進行初期死亡率的估算。

To clarify the spatio-temporal distributions of larval skipjack and bonitos in the coastal waters off Taiwan and to analyze the early growth hostory, a 4 years study is conducted by month in the period from June to August by R/V Hai-Jeng and Fishery Research I with Maruadsi larval net. The study areas are separated to northeastern-, eastern-, and northwestern waters off Taiwan in each of the previous 3-year, respectively. In the 4th year, we will combine these data to constructe the transport mechanism and to analyze the early mortality rate for resource assessment of the fishes.
