This paper aims to analyze the economic structure of Japanese sea bass farming in Taiwan. It focuses on the factors affecting efficiency of aquaculture among different investment and management methods. As a result of the study by using various statistical techniques on a set of source data, we found that most of the farms obtained a certain level of rate of return on their investment. For improving the economic efficiency of Japanese sea bass farming, we suggest that management techniques should be improved and some items of production cost be reduced and marketing channels be diversified.
