本研究將白蝦之無節幼蟲浸泡於由Schizophyllum commune萃取之多醣類 (β-1,3-glucan) 懸浮液中,用於提高白蝦苗在育成時之活存率與增強其對抗病原弧菌與病毒之能力。將白蝦之無節幼蟲分別浸泡於0.25、0.50、1.00及2.00 mg/ml等四組濃度之 -1,3-glucan懸浮液中3小時後分桶飼育,培育至後期幼蟲後,將蝦苗置於弧菌懸浮液及餵食感染1級白點症病毒 (white spot syndrome virus, WSSV) 之白蝦肉作感染試驗。試驗結果顯示,培育至後期幼蟲之蝦苗活存率,浸泡 -1,3-glucan濃度0.25、0.50及1.00 mg/ml三組之蝦苗與對照組無顯著差異,2.00 mg/ml組與對照組有顯著差異 (p < 0.05);在抗病原弧菌與病毒之能力評估中,浸泡-1,3-glucan濃度0.50及1.00 mg/ml 二組與對照組有顯著 (p < 0.05) 差異,0.25及2.00 mg/ml二組與對照組無顯著差異;至於WSSV感染試驗中浸泡0.50、1.00及2.00 mg/ml 三組濃度之蝦苗與對照組於前六天有顯著差異 (p < 0.05),至第七天就無顯著差異,0.25 mg/ml 組與對照組開始就無顯著差異。因此,在白蝦苗培育前期如無節幼蟲時期浸泡多醣類,可增強蝦苗在不良環境下的活力,進而提高其活存率。

Trials were conducted to evaluate the effects of β-1,3-glucan from Schizophyllum commune, on the survival and resistance to stress, vibriosis, and viral infection of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei postlarvae. White shrimp nauplii were exposed to different concentrations of β-1,3-glucan (0.25, 0.50, 1.00, and 2.00 mg/ml) for 3 h and then cultured to postlarvae before being examined using bath challenge with Vibrio harveyi and oral challenge with white spot syndrome virus (WSSV). Enhanced viability was observed in nauplii immersed in β-1,3-glucan at concentrations of 0.50 and 1.00 mg/ml. The results showed that increased viability and protective effects of glucan treatment were observed in shrimp treated with 0.50 and 1.00 mg/ml β-1,3-glucan, but not in shrimp treated with 0.25 and 2.00 mg/ml glucan. Thus, white shrimp larvae immersed in a β-1,3-glucan suspension showed improved resistance to unfavorable conditions, and their survival rate would increase.
