為探討增加棲息面積對淡水長臂大蝦 (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) 成長之影響,本試驗設計了直立式及水平式二種立體設施。直立式立體設施係由3個同心的直立六面形網架所組成,而水平式立體設施則由6個三層式水平網架排列而成。試驗結果發現:立體設施對於淡水長臂大蝦之平均體重並無顯著影響 (p > 0.05),但是在活存率及收成總重上,有立體設施者均較無立體設施者為佳。以每平方公尺10、25、50及75尾蝦苗的放養密度,進行有無立體網架對淡水長臂大蝦的影響試驗,結果發現有無立體網架,對淡水長臂大蝦的成長無顯著影響 (p > 0.05),然放置立體網架對提高活存率有幫助,且放養密度愈高其效果愈顯著 (p < 0.05)。

To increase the habitat space of giant freshwater prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), 2 types (vertical or horizontal) of 3-dimensional net structures were designed. The vertical structure was assembled by 3 concentric hexagonal nets, while the horizontal one consisted of 6 three-layered triangular nets and assembled into a hexagon.Giant freshwater prawns were reared in indoor recirculating shrimp culture systems with or without the net structure. Results showed that there was no significant difference in mean body weight (p > 0.05) among the treatments of net use. However, survival rates and total weights of prawns in tanks with the 3-dimensional net structures were higher than those in the control group.Growth of giant freshwater prawns cultured in tanks (0.5 ton) with or without 2 layers of net structure at stocking densities of 10, 25, 50, and 75 prawns/m2, respectively, was tested. Results showed that there were no significant differences (p > 0.05) in mean body weight among all groups. However, better survival rates were found in those groups with the net structure, and they were significantly higher in groups with higher densities (p < 0.05).
