底棲魚類資源生態調查研究

細部計畫1:臺灣西南海域經濟性魚種資源指標建立 拖網及刺網為臺灣西南海域沿近海的主要漁法,為許多家計型漁業之主要漁獲收益 來源。然由於長期高度的漁獲壓力,加以漁場生態環境劣化的情況下,沿近海魚類 資源相較過去已大幅下降,漁業資源如何永續利用已成為重要的課題。本計畫擬利 用西南海域拖網漁業標本船及各主要港口漁獲查報資料,進行重要魚種單位努力漁 獲量標準化,建立豐度指標以掌握底棲魚類資源之變動情形,並逐步建立主要漁獲 物種之生殖生物學及產卵場等族群生活史科學數據,以完整掌握西南海域底棲魚類 資源動態,提供資源評估及管理規範擬定之重要參考依據。
細部計畫2:臺灣北部海域蟹類漁業資源生態研究 蟹類漁業資源為沿近海重要漁業之一,且近年來大受消費者歡迎並進行相關漁業管 理以維持其資源永續利用。本計畫之主要目的係監測臺灣海域蟹類資源及產業現況 ,進行蟹類漁業資源量調查與 生產經濟評估。本所於106年開始針對臺灣北部海域 的蟹籠漁業進行調查,西南海域與澎湖海域的蟹類漁業資源亦有初步研究成果,但 除了大宗的蟹籠漁法外,臺灣尚有利用不同漁法作業捕撈之蟹類資源,包括拖網、 刺網等,在不同海域捕撈的蟹類組成等亦有差異。本研究擬收集漁撈日誌與漁獲樣 本,調查其捕獲蟹類之種類相、漁獲量及漁業生物學等,並以試驗船配合採樣,以 究明臺灣週邊海域蟹類資源的時空分布、漁業方式等,作為日後漁業管理之依據 ,期使蟹類漁業資源得以永續利用。

1:Estimation of the abundance indices for commercial fishes in the southwestern waters of Taiwan Bottom trawl and gillnet are the main fishing methods for the offshore and coastal fisheries in the southwestern waters of Taiwan, and a large number of small fishing boats rely on the income from these fisheries. However, under the persistent high fishing pressure for a long period as well as the deterioration of marine environments, the abundance of the fishery stocks have dropped dramatically. As a result, how to utilize the fishery resources sustainably becomes the main issue for the management.In this study, we aim to estimate the standardized catch per unit effort (CPUE) to establish the abundance indices for commercially important species of the bottom trawl fishery. Besides, we will try to estimate the reproductive biological parameters, such as length at sexual maturity, fecundity and spawning seasons for important species. Finally, we want to provide integrated information on the status of demersal fishery resources for developing optimal fishing regulations in the southwestern waters of Taiwan.
2:Study on crab fishery resources and ecology in the northern waters off Taiwan Crab fishery resources are important resources for offshore fisheries, and also are popular seafood products for domestic consumers. Therefore sustainable uses of crab fishery resources are important tasks to maintain the productions and values nowadays The objectives of this project are to monitor the status of crab resources in the surrounding waters of Taiwan, resource abundances and production economics of crab fishery will be analyzed. The Fishery Research Institute has studied the crab-cage fisheries in the northern waters of Taiwan from 2017, and the crab fishery resources inthe southwestern waters and the Penghu waters. However, in addition to the large number of crab pot fishery methods, we still has crab caught by different fishing methods, including trawl nets, gillnets, etc., and the composition of crabs caught in different sea areas is also different. The present study focused on crabs caught by trawl fishery in the northern waters of Taiwan, collected fishing logs and catch samples, investigated the species composition, catch and fishery biological studying, and investigated the same sea areas by a research ship. The results will provide reasonable fishery management for sustainable utilization of crab fishery resources.
