牡蠣人工附苗技術之研發

國內牡蠣的產業分工大約分為天然附苗業,稚貝中間育成業與成貝養成業,其中天然的附苗業迭迭遭遇歉收或附苗期難以掌握等問題,這些問題要即時有效的解決並不容易,因此有必要從人工繁殖的角度著手,進行人工附苗的相關試驗,以期能夠生產優質的人工牡蠣苗,解決天然苗質量不均的問題。因此本研究擬進行牡蠣人工繁殖及附苗生產作業流程之整合,以便一年四季均可進行人工繁殖,隨時生產人工苗供應放養,解決蚵農附不到苗的窘境。在繁養殖過程中挑選成長較快的個體進行繁殖,以篩選出具成長快速的牡蠣品系,以提升牡蠣的生產力。另因應氣候變遷,也進行適應不同溫度品系牡蠣苗之開發。
研究報告摘要(英) The oyster industries in Taiwan were divided into natural setting, spat rearing and grow-out industry. The oyster farmers met the problems of inconsistent production of spat and the difficulty in ascertaining the setting period of larvae. In this study we will integrate the artificial propagation and setting procedure of oyster to produce artificial clutches for oyster farmers any period in a year, and conduct the selective breeding of oyster to get a fast-growing strain to enhance the productivity and compare them with natural spats about the growth and survival. Due to climate change, we also select oysters being adapt to high temperatures to breed.
