One of the aquarium trends is miniaturization (also called nano aquaria), so that freshwater shrimp culture has recently become increasingly popular. Most suppliers of the native freshwater shrimp larvae are dependent on natural fishing, while limited information is available for the reproduction of these shrimp. Therefore, we proposed this project to collect, stock and propagate the native freshwater shrimp. Macrobrachium was the major subject of the study, included breeding and recording the physical characteristics and propagation phase. According to our results can establishment to apply artificial breeding techniques to stabilize the population of the original species.
