Plectropomus leopardusis an emerging marine aquaculture fish in Taiwan, mainly because the market is in urgent need of developing a compound feed that meets the nutritional needs of Plectropomus leopardus . Carotenoids on fish skin often bind to fatty acids and are present in an esterified form. Oil is an important raw material in feed, affecting the growth and physiological functions of fish. In this study, we added 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12% of fish oil with different amounts of feed to make test feed. The feed conversion rate and color showed that the feed of fish containing 6- 9% of fish oil had the fastest growth, the highest feed conversion rate of 6% and the color of the back was better.
