This study investigated the efficacy of induced spawning in Yellow tang Zebrasoma flavescens by injection of HCG and LHRH-a. Injected dosages of 1000 IU and 50 μg were, ovulation occurred about 50 h after injection. The eggs of Yellow tang amyo buoyant and semi-transparent. The egg diameter range from 0.70 ± 0.06 mm . The eggs contain a single oil globule having a diameter of 0.17 ± 0.01 mm. With one years of research, we found that successful culture of yellow tail can be improved by focusing of feedings, water quality and culture management. According to our research, the highest average gain weight rate for the one fed with mixed regime(including Ulva lactuca and artificial feed) was 77.08%, 20% higher than the one fed with artificial feed only, 50% higher than those fed with Ulva lactuca. The was a significant difference in average gain weight rate between the one fed with mixregime and the other two fed with different regime. The survival rate was the highest for the primary larval (Hymenocera picta)when raised at 24-21℃. The larval through 40 days metamorphosed into the postlarvae stage after hatched. The minimum mature size BL:26.35㎜, CL:7.15㎜. The number of eggs of ovigerous female varied from 438 to 4,659.
